Advanced Treatments

If initial treatments such as clomiphene citrate or surgery aren't effective or appropriate, your healthcare provider may suggest moving onto more advanced treatments. These treatments fall into two groups:

• Ovulation Induction (OI) in which medications stimulate the ovaries to release eggs.
• Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) in which special procedures are used to bring eggs and sperm together in a laboratory.
